Walking on the wall of Lucca

Walking on the wall of Lucca

imageimageimageMy first week in Lucca has gone well. The city is beautiful, green and lush already. It is a smaller city situated between Florence to the east and Pisa to the west. It is flat and easily walkable. It has a really cool Medieval Wall surrounding it that is wide enough for a car, so people walk and bike on it.

We have an apartment in the center. Unfortunately or not there are gelato shops and bakeries on each corner. Also I have never seen a town with so many real estate offices!

The school is good. I had 6 people in my class this week. Students from England, Switzerland, Scotland, Ireland and the US.

Today i am off to the local market and then on a wine and olive oil tasting in the country.

I hate to mention this to my Pennsylvania family, but the weather has beautiful so far …72 and sunny….

Yummy, yum, yum!!! Sounds like thinks are going well. We had a couple nice days in PA but next week sounds gloomy. Curt and I are going to Ottawa for their Tulip Festival next week. Sounds like it’s going to be gloomy there too. Enjoy!

Wonderful! Bill and I are going in June: 3 days in Naples then 3 days in Perugia. You must be fluent now!
